Review The Gamers

Bioshock 2

Picture
Bioshock 2 is one of the most wanted games that I've been wanting to
play for quite some time. The game it self is quite beautiful and well done graphically.
The story itself is quite unique. It starts as Sofia Lamb, who is a tyrant of Rapture controlling
everyone and everything in it. She is considered the new king of Rapture since Andrew Ryan was killed.
Splicers are now part of what Sofia Lamb considers a family, this family contains every splicer and is really her own family.

Now, Sofia Lamb can call out this family whenever she wants which really the main person she sends them out to is you. She used cleaver manipulation to
gain the trust of the splicers, for telling them of great promises and a new rapture for them, but obviously this is a lie. The story is absolutely lovely and I simply
can't describe it in words. As well as I don't want to reveal too much detail about the story.

Now for the actual game it self. Bioshock 2 still has it's fun plasmids that you all love and enjoy from the first Bioshock game but the only difference now is that each
plasmid contains two - three upgrades you can buy with Adam. Each upgrade gives it more power and a new way of using it. I love this idea because it gives us a new feeling
of each plasmid and makes us want to carry on and see what new things we can do with it. Gene Tonics are also back in Bioshock 2 but now there's a lot more of them. The Gene Tonics
in Bioshock 2 have a significant roll in your progress throughout the game, it provides you a boost to your gameplay and helps you out quite a lot. There are ones that
help you do more damage, move quicker and even get discounts at the vending machines which I find very useful when your low on cash.

You play as the first prototype Big Daddy part of the Alpha Series who somewhat has a  mind of it's own, which is something that Sofia Lamb doesn't want.
As a big daddy, you gain access to the big drill which I find is my main weapon but you also get a nice range of them which is nice. The biggest improvements on the weapon
system is the fact that you can now upgrade each weapon (including your drill) to a maximum of three times, each time you upgrade your weapon it gains more power and better efficiency.

The graphics in this game is very well done, it really shines and gives us the impression of the dark undersea world which we are in. The game uses it's famous engine which I somewhat
can't remember but trust me, it's great. The music also fits VERY well with the game and how it changes throughout the game, it honestly is a very very good blend in music, graphics and gameplay.

While this game has it good side it also has its down side, the only trouble I had is... wait a minute.. I honestly didn't find anything I didn't like! this game is actually the first game
I played without any disruptions or glitches. Now, this is really only for the single player, but for the multi player.... I..ughh really did not enjoy the feel it gave, while some people
may enjoy the multi player, it's something that I would clear far away.

In my conclusion, this game is a game that I would highly recommend to anyone because it's just that great. I give the game a overall rating of 5/5

Matt.
